We are offering an antique Leather / animal hide shield from India. It’s painted and lacquered. The front painted motif is floral and vegetative. On the front are four floret shaped bosses that are non-ferrous metal, we believe it’s copper, mounted thru the rear with iron rings. The shield does not lay completely flat as seen in a photo. The leather is stiff. The shield weighs close to 4 lbs. The diameter is 16.25 - 17 inches, it’s not a perfect circle.
