Offering a 1960's pill microphone customized with RCA Styling. These Calrad 500C mics were clearly designed to mimic the famous RCA 77, but on a smaller scale (about 1/2 size.) Their iconic looks made them were wildly popular for the home consumer, but unfortunately had cheap tinny-sounding crystal elements. The sound never equaled "the look", so in this case, we removed the crystal capsules and installed a super high quality Heil "Studio One" capsule which sounds awfully close to that of a ribbon. (Voice sample can be heard on the listing video.) The capsule is installed facing up, creating a 360 degree "omni-directional pickup pattern. The physical condition is very good, no dents or discolorations in the upper perforated screens. Adding the customized RCA wrap-around band further enhances the "RCA look". It comes hardwired to a 3' shielded cable with male 1/4" phono plug. (If you prefer a male XLR plug, we can make that swap.) The desk stand is included. Height is 12". **Always safe secure packaging, fast fair shipping, and we offer combined shipping for multiple purchases. **
