In 2014, four American investors bought a run-down 800-year-old Castle which had stood empty since the Berlin Wall came down. After they got the building permit which took a year, the Americans began restoration. In 2017 two of the investors had to leave the corporation for personal problems. Restoration work slowed since only half the yearly budget to work with was now available, but they had till September 2020 to finish the restoration. However, if the investors would not have the castle finished by this time, they would have to give the castle back to the city, and the city would have to pay them back the purchase price and what they had invested in restoration work.
What followed is a shocking story of intimidation, repression, and lies which ended in the castle being taken away from the investors by the city without reimbursing the investors for the purchase price and what they had invested in restoration.
