Zoologist. Graduated from Tokyo University of Fisheries (now Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology). Study the taxonomy ecology of mammals at the National Museum of Nature and Science. After that, he participated in the Ministry of Education's (now Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) international biology project planning survey, and the Environment Agency's (now Ministry of the Environment) ecological survey of the Iriomote cat. After working as an animal commentator at Ueno Zoo, he served as the director of the Izu Kogen Cat Museum and the director of the Japan Institute of Animal Science (this data was published at the time this book was published)
