This 1930's or 40's purse watch is truly rare for its unique winding system complication which consists of gears and flat plate levers resulting in a smoother operation and its compensating balance wheel which can adjust to hot and cold.  This attests to its high quality. It is in very good condition throughout including its nickel chrome body, skin cover, crystal and beige dial.  It has just been professionally serviced and keeps accurate time.  It has a 15 jewel movement and features the rare compensating balance wheel.  The beige dial has strong lettering for the time markers.  There is very light burnishing below the 12 and below the center post with miniscule paint loss in the fist letter e in the jeweler's name DeGoeye and some pinpoints in the dial all not noticeable to the naked eye and consistent with age.  Below the 12 is printed: DeGoeye ( probably for a Brazilian fashion group) and below the 6 is printed Suiza (Swiss.) On the back of the open case is imprinted: 12413.  Below that: 783.  On the back of the movement is printed: Antimagnetic. There is also imprinted: Compensation Thermique Garantie (Compensation balance wheel.)  It is wound by pressing the two buttons on the left section and opening and closing the right section of the case.  It is: 2 5/8 in. long x 1 3/16 in. wide x 9/16 in. thick opened.  It is 1 7/8 in. long x 1 3/16 in. wide x 9/16 in. thick closed.  The dial is approx. 3/4 in. x 3/4 in.  A perfect watch for serious purse watch collectors.
