This work investigates the heightened understanding of the eschatological dimension of baptism which derives from juxtaposing the Old Testament notion of prophetic action, or ot and the thomistic concept of the sacramental sign as signum prognosticum. In this work the christian community anticipates its hope in the future, awakens its faith in the past and forges a present where love finds a home between memory and promise.
