To start, this car is like new. There are many 'restored' E types out there but very very few have been done to this standard.

After a four year ground up restoration, I am moving on to my next project and so this immaculate E Type 2+2 series 1 (matching numbers) is for sale. I have literally thousands of pictures tracing the transformation. I did this car simply to test myself..... to see if i could restore what was a very solid but needy car!

I am a retired vehicle technician formerly working with BMW and Volvo. I have extremely high standards as hopefully you can see.

Originally imported back home from California, the car is extremely original with only a very small amount of plating required. The floor, sills, bulkhead, bonnet required no work what so ever. Indeed the original lead filling is still in the car. New engine frames were fitted

The body received a bare metal repaint including the exterior floor as per factory. The lis of work is far too long to list here, but I'm more than happy to talk through it if required. However I shall list as much as possible

WORKS

The engine was completely stripped and rebuilt using new everything!. I even had the block resleeved back to original factory as new sizes. Pistons, Camchains, Oil Pump, Water Pump, Radiator.... all new. The cylinder Head was also completely reconditioned. Oil pressure is huge as you would expect

Electronic ignition and cooling fan upgrades have also been fitted

A new Roller Bearing thrust bearing was fitted along with a fast road clutch..... the manual gearbox was completely reconditioned as was the rear Axle. All new suspension was fitted and metal components sent for Zinc coating

Ezy bleed systems fitted to clutch and rear brakes

Mangoletsi throttle cable coversion fitted

A full stainless steel exhaust fitted

Carbs were overhaul by SU and a new fuel tank and pump fitted

New stainless steel wheels along with period Pirelli tyres have been fitted

Uprated 4 pot calipers fitted to the front along with vented brake discs, along with all new copper and rubber piping. over sized rear calipers also fitted

All exterior chrome has been replated, and a nrw tinted windscreen also. The whole interior has been proffessionally retrimmed to the original colour as with the exterior paint

All interior switches and plaques are original. For security i even fitted a detachable steering wheel coupling which works really well. It also aides getting in/ out of the car.

A full and new complete wiring loom was fitted

I could talk all day about the expence and in depth way this car has been restored, but I think the pictures say it all

If you are in the market for an E Type (the one that people can actually drive and enjoy.... the 2+2... then you simply won't find a better one
