Pioneer reel to reel – The deck had several issues. The pinch rollers were completed rotted to nothing, etc. Removed capstan motor and cleaned rubber goo off of the capstan flywheels and capstan motor pully. Installed new capstan drive belt and plastic cap bearings. Repaired pinch roller control arms. Installed new pinch rollers. Replaced some missing nylon washers. Replaced 1 capacitor in the regulated power supply circuit. Checked and adjusted brake bands. Checked all tension measurements. Cleaned and re-lubed several items in the tape path including rollers, etc and mechanism. Repaired several solder connections. Checked tape path alignment. Checked play and record levels. Cleaned entire tape path. Bench tested for 9 hours.
