This started life as a Squier by Fender Short-Scale Bronco Bass that's been modified, upgraded and Relicd' (or Aged) with aesthetic modifications to somewhat resemble a well-used Vintage Mustang Bass. Solid Poplar Body with its original "Limited-Edition Ultraviolet finish" that's been distressed showing finish swirls, wear, dings, dents & chips to replicate age & playwear from years of use. "ALL" the Hardware has been aged down to every single screw! These are cosmetic only modifications that doesn't affect playability.

ALL the Electronics have been upgraded from the originals. Squier Bronco Basses actually come stock with a 6 pole-piece "Electric Guitar" Pickup, just like the original, now vintage, Fender Musicmaster Basses did. It's been replaced with a brand-new 4 pole-piece Alnico-5 Magnet Fiber Bobbin Single-Coil Bass Pickup with cloth wiring, that sounds fantastic in this Bass! *See picture of the exact type of Pickup prior to installation. I've used this very same Pickup in numerous Bass Guitars I've upgraded & modified. It has strong output and presence. With the Tone Control rolled back has a thick warm thump. A White Closed-Top Mustang style Pickup Cover installed. Pickup was set at an angle instead of straight like the original, to add a little more thump to the lower strings and to have a similar look of Mustang 6-string Guitars. Original factory 250K Mini-Pots were replaced with full-size 500K Pots. Has a custom-made Mustang Bass shaped White-Pearl Pickguard with beveled edges that goes well with the Ultraviolet finishAlso has a custom-made Control Plate made of Mirror Pickguard Material, that looks just like the chrome metal plate on Mustang Basses. Original chrome Tele knobs replaced with aged Mustang Bass style Knobs. These mods all lend to a vintage Mustang Bass look.

Has a very comfortable modern C-Shape short-scale Squier Bronco Bass Maple Neck with a 19-medium/jumbo fret Maple Fretboard. 30" scale, 9.5" Radius, 1.5" nut width. To further improve playability, the Fretboard has been lightly sanded with a very fine grit, then buffed to make the Fretboard very smooth, better than it came from the manufacture and plays with ease! *I do this to almost all Guitars I sell, used & new and makes for a significant improvement in playability. Fretboard was then lightly stained to replicate playwear and thoroughly buffed again. Frets are perfect and have been polished so they're bright & slickFret ends were rounded, and Fretboard edges rolled for a natural broke-in feel...no sharp fret ends. *Note that the Fretboard wasn't distressed for best playability. Back of the Neck also lightly sanded to remove some of the original clear coat, buffed, lightly stained to replicate play wear, then thoroughly buffed again. *Back of the Neck wasn't distressed either, for great playability. There aren't any dents or dings. It's "ultra-smooth" and fast! And Neck has a Skunk-Stripe & Truss-Rod Plug like Fender US & MIM (Made-In-Mexico) Guitars & Basses. Headstock has a vintage style water-slide decal and the entire Headstock sealed with Lacquer. Has the original Tuners, that have also been aged. *Message me if you'd like to see a complete picture of the Headstock.

Has a brand-new set of 45-100 Fender Nickel Round Wound Strings and a complete set-up done, including: truss-rod relief, action, intonation & pickup height. Original Squier logo neck-plate replaced with an aged Blank Chrome Neck Plate. Absolutely wonderful playing & sounding Short-Scale Bass that has a Vintage Mustang Bass appearance and is an affordable alternative! Like most of my Relic Guitars, the intention was to make it look like an "under the bed find" of an old, well-used Vintage Bass Guitar. If you like the popular Relic look, I think you'll LOVE this unique one-of-a-kind Bass! Has a Vintage/Retro appearance like it's been played & gigged for years! Weighs 6.4 poundsNo Case. ATTN: I'm willing to include a "Thumb-Rest" FREE if you'd like one. You can install it wherever you like, or I can install it in whatever location you prefer (typically below the G-String...or above the E-String). Just be sure to message me.

*I'm not a store or shop, just a retired Guy that LOVES Guitars and have worked on them as a Hobby for over 30 years. I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Bass Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Truss-Rod functional, Fretboard clean? Are the Frets worn, oxidized, need cleaned & polished, or have dead frets that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty & dead and need a new set? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty and require a major clean! Not this one! This Bass may "appear" to be dirty due to the Relic job, but it's very clean!

Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine or like most, likely just say "Condition Is Used". Remember that you get what you pay for!

This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, set up with low action and plays great. I do my best to set-up my Guitars so that when you receive it, you should be able to simply tune it up and play. But I can't predict how you like your Guitar set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference "may" be required. And if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes and/or Delivery Service handling can affect my initial set-up, that again, may require adjustments on your end. This is true of ANY Guitar shipped from an individual or from online Big-Box Stores.

Please save me as a Seller as I frequently list Guitars and always have some interesting projects in the works, including more "Relic" Guitars. Check my "Seller Feedback" to read comments from happy Buyers of my Guitars.
