Out of a local estate. Coleman 242B made in the USA and dated coded September, 1940 being sold "AS IS" and "AS PICTURED". The pictures tell the tale of this lantern. I tried by hand to open the following: valve stem, and the tip cleaner stem, they wouldn't budge. The filler cap and screw come off, but not the insert so I didn't force it. The plunger moves in and out freely and the locking screw is loose, but I didn't want to force the assembly out. The ventilator is in good condition with minor rust areas. The bail has mostly surface rust. The lantern has years of dust and dirt and I only cleaned the areas to find information. The lantern appears complete except for the globe. If you have any questions, need additional information or photos, please contact me, the photos are part of the description.
