1971 Gibson SG Special P90 Large Guard with Vibrola - Superb Player
In excellent vintage condition, this guitar is 52
years old so does show lots of small scuffs, scratches and plenty of lacquer
checking to the finish. The only modifications to the guitar are the truss rod
cover, which was swapped out years ago for a Les Paul Custom cover, the bottom
strap button has been moved leaving a hole where the previous one was fitted
and the tuning pegs have been changed, replaced with original Gibson Deluxe
turning machines, otherwise, this classic vintage Gibson is original throughout.
Playability is superb, the guitar has been given a
full set up the action is low, and very playable.
The original electrics are good, but please note,
the neck volume control is a bit on/off with not a great deal of volume
adjustment. It does however give a lovely on/off effect when used fast, so for
the sake of originality and the guitars own personality we've left it as is. It
is a simple change should you decide to swap this volume pot over.
Supplied with a brown Gibson hard case with pink
interior (not the original but better quality).
