This is a reproduction print of Winslow Homers 1877 watercolor painting entitled "Blackboard." The print has been professionally matted and framed in 2005 in Winston-Salem, NC. The mat is a periwinkle blue that matches the teachers dress. Composite wood frame.

The picture shows a young woman with pale skin standing with her back to us as she points to a blackboard with a long stick. She wears a checkered white and pale-green pinafore over a long, sage-green dress. The artist signed and dated the lower right of the blackboard, “Homer '77.”
