This is the classic to buy all the bits of a restoration that you forget to factor in are already done.

Good bits
This vehicle has undergone a significant body off restoration. The chassis is solid and what little welding needed has been done. the body is welded it has had sills, footwells, spare wheel dip, and a few other patches. it has been fitted with NOS front inner wings. It was painted with stone chip paint and then painted body colour over giving it good rust protection.

All the lights work and is fitted with Lucas Cristal clear lenses which are excellent at night. It has had a new steering lock and barrel with new keys. Is also fitted with a battery immobiliser.


All the suspension has been changed including every chassis bush and body mount, it’s fitted with up rated shock absorbers. Brand new rear prop-shaft and the ujs are new in the front prop.

Brand new all terrain tyres all round.

New brake and clutch master cylinders aswell as the clutch slave, All the soft lines have been changed.
It has had a new clutch plate and pressure plate the gearbox works well and selects easily. High/low works and engages well aswell as the vacuum diff lock.

The axles are rebuilt and have new disks and pads all round. It has a steering guard and heavy duty steering bars with brand new ball joints. It has also had a recon steering box. 

It has had a brand new fuel tank and sender and is fitted with a custom light weight tank guard.

The engine has a high output 110A alternator, new water pump, re built carbs, big aluminium radiator with electric fans, new viscous coupling for the fan. Fitted with an uprated fuel filter.

The interior has all its carpets and a re lined two piece headlining. The drivers seat is from a LHD car meaning it is in good condition but it does come with the old seat which will need re covering as has a few tares

Bad bits

The engine has developed a rear main crank oil seal leak and is a little smoky. It can be difficult to start cold but once started it is on the button.
The heater matrix doesn’t hold fluid and is not plumbed in the fans and rest of the system work however.
There are no keys for the doors but the locks work from the inside.
The standard speedo doesn’t work but is fitted with a digital one.


All this work was done as the vehicle was taken on an over-landing trip around Morocco on which it performed amazingly often showing up the large modern trucks.
It covered 5000 in the last 12 months meaning it’s thoroughly tried and tested and With a little engine work it would happily do it again! You can drive it away quite happily.
