This is Nikon's infamous portrait lens.  The bokeh (blurred background) is incomparable to other lenses and the true color rendition of skin tones is what makes this lens so great.  Due to age, I am parting with my camera and lenses.  I am just an amateur photographer, and not a professional; so my gear was not heavily used.  And when not in use, everything was stored in a climate-controlled photo cabinet. A filter (not included) was installed on day one; so the glass is perfect.
