  • Bezeichnung: Unten rechts befindet sich die Signatur des Künstlers sowie eine Datierung auf [19]47. Auf dem Passepartout ist vom Künstler eigenhändig der Titel der Darstellung in Bleistift angebracht. Rückseitig sind mit Bleistift und Kugelschreiber diverse Nummerierungen aufgetragen.

  • Beschreibung: Darstellung der Hauptfigur des Märchens von Hans Christian Andersen (1805 Odense - 1875 Kopenhagen) aus der Sammlung von 1847. Dargestellt ist Karl - alias Tuck - auf dessen Schoß seine kleine Schwester Gustave sitzt. Vor ihnen auf dem Tisch liegt das Buch das die Geschichte von einem armen Jungen, der viel lernen will, enthält. Dieser hilft einer alten Waschfrau bei Ihrer Arbeit obwohl er lernen muss und erhält von dieser im Gegenzug die Fähigkeit im Schlaf zu lernen. Die Illustration stammt aus dem Nachlass des Künstlers, Illustrators und Kostümzeichners Erhard Klepper und ist das 23. Motiv aus einer Reihe von Märchenillustrationen zu Hans Christian Andersen.   • Description: Depiction of the main character of the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen (1805 Odense - 1875 Copenhagen) from the 1847 collection. Karl - alias Tuck - is depicted with his little sister Gustave sitting on his lap. In front of them on the table is the book containing the story of a poor boy who wants to learn a lot. He helps an old washerwoman with her work even though he has to learn and in return receives the ability to learn in his sleep from her. The illustration comes from the estate of the artist, illustrator and costume designer Erhard Klepper and is the 23rd motif in a series of fairy tale illustrations for Hans Christian Andersen.   • Condition: Good condition. The ink is somewhat faded in places. The passepartout is slightly discoloured and minimally bumped in the corners. There are white colour stains in the upper left.
