• Beschreibung: Elegant und nur durch ein leichtes Tuch bekleidet hält eine junge Frau ein Kleinkind auf ihrem Knie. Auf der Rückseite sind zahlreiche kleine Feenwesen und märchenhafte Gestalten dargestellt. Verso befindet sich ein weiteres Porträt. Das vorliegende Blatt stammt aus dem Skizzenbuch eines anonymen Künstlers, der hauptsächlich Motive aus der alltäglichen Lebenswelt in der Region Tirol und Süddeutschland gezeichnet hat. In seiner Sammlung finden sich darüber hinaus auch Darstellungen von Schiffen und Burgen, die eine Reise des Künstlers in die norddeutschen Küstengebiete oder entlang des romantischen Rhein- und Moseltals nahelegen. Sein Zeichenstil bleibt skizzenhaft und belegt den spontanen Charakter der Kunstwerke, die der Künstler immer gleich vor Ort in seinem Skizzenbuch oder auf einem Notizblock gemacht haben muss.

• Description: Elegantly and clothed only by a light cloth, a young woman holds an infant on her knee. On the reverse are numerous small fairy creatures and fairytale-like figures. On the verso there is another portrait. The present sheet comes from the sketchbook of an anonymous artist who mainly drew motifs from everyday life in the region of Tyrol and southern Germany. His collection also includes depictions of ships and castles, suggesting a journey by the artist to the coastal areas of northern Germany or along the romantic Rhine and Moselle valleys. His drawing style remains sketchy and attests to the spontaneous character of the artworks, which the artist must always have made on the spot in his sketchbook or on a notepad.

• Condition: Very good condition. Along the edges the sheet is slightly discoloured due to its age. Small spots are visible in places.
