  • Description: The print shows the portrait of a historical figure in formal European Baroque clothing. The viewer perceives a monochrome chequered background on which the portrait is executed in a detailed engraving. The main features of the portrait are the splendour of the curls, an opulent millstone collar and an intense, direct gaze. Below the portrait is an inscription recording the sitter's name and dates of life as well as his career.
