Mid-century Murano Glass Sealife inspired sculpture of a starfish by Licio Zanetti. This model is larger than usually seen, its widest dimension is 11“ and the height measured at the center is 2.75“. Weight 3.5 lbs. 
The sulpture was produced in the mid 1950s and it’s life like appearance speaks of superb craftsmanship. Licio Zanetti studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Venice and learned the art of glassblowing in his families glass furnace in Murano. He was particularly known for his skill of capturing the beauty of natural forms in his creations. The starfish is a beautiful witness to it. 
The art glass is in excellent condition, without damage, repair or other signs of age wear. The base features an engraved signature of the maestro „Zanetti L.“.
