A complete rare Arthur Price Cased 7-piece Set of 6 Handmade Signed 1930s De Montfort Silver Plated Cake Forks and Cake Slice Server. The set was made in Sheffield England. Unused quality
The cake forks are also known as Pastry Forks or Dessert Forks. The gorgeous English set comes in its original cutlery case. The forks have a lovely stylish decorative design around the handle. The tea time fork and cake server set is really beautiful and has the feeling of being very good quality that Arthur Price is known for. c 1930s.
The vintage De Montfort Silver Plate cake forks and larger cake or pastry slice are all marked with “Arthur Price”. The case lid has a label saying “De Montfort, Sheffield England”. The Silver Plate is bright and shiny and the set looks lovely.
A wonderful gift for a cook who likes to make cakes.
The two tone red and white faux leather case has a gold diamond pattern . The interior has with special red velvet covered slots for the forks and the pie server is held securely in position by brass catch. Nice working decorative catches.
Each Arthur Price Silver Plate cake fork is 13 cm (5 1/8 in) long and the larger cake server is 18 cm (7 in) long and 4 cm (1 5/8 in) wide at its widest. The cased Silver Plate fork set weighs 335 g (11.8 oz).
The sophisticated Arthur Price set is in excellent vintage condition with no dents or rust. Some silver tarnishing and will polish up nicely. The set appears to be unused although this is a pre loved item. Probably kept in a drawer and rarely if ever used. The case has some minor age related wear. Please view photos.
