This is a rare complete set of Railway Breakdown Cranes Vol 1, Vol 2, and Vol 3 written by Peter Tatlow and published by Crecy Publishing.

Vol 1  The Story of Steam Breakdown Cranes on the Railways of Britain. This is a first edition published in 2012 and is the first of two volumes in which Peter Tatlow describes the origin, makers and uses of these cranes.

Vol 2  A first edition published in 2013 continues The Story of Steam Breakdown Cranes on the Railways of Britain and introduces the concept of relieving bogies briefly mentioned in Volume 1 but discussed fully in this volume, and more modern long jib cranes.

Vol 3  A first edition published in 2018, this is the final book in the set of 3.  In Railway Cranes Volume 3 Hand, Steam and diesel rail-mounted travelling Cranes of Britain the author looks at the smaller cranes used by engineers and other departments mostly on track work.  This volume is rare.  It is out of print at the publishers and is unavailable at book dealers and book stores.

The author has written many books on railways and is known for his painstaking research and his subject expertise.

Printed on high quality paper all the volumes are beautifully illustrated with many colour and black and white photographs, detailed drawings and diagrams.

These books are an interesting addition to any engineering or railway enthusiast's book collection.
