“For sale: 1975 Mapleglo Bass Model 4001. This guitar belonged to a friend who passed away. As I don’t play bass, I’d like to find someone who will play it and appreciate it.

Thanks to two Reverb followers, I’ve learned more about this guitar. It’s not all original as I initially thought; it has aftermarket active pickups (specifically Bartolini Pickups). I’m told this isn’t necessarily a bad thing and enhances the quality of the performance.

I believe the case is original, with the cord and strap inside. I’ve taken multiple photos to accurately of the guitar showing its condition. It likely needs cleaning, but I’m hesitant to attempt it myself for fear of damaging it. There’s a crack in the Rickenbacker plate on the neck by the string adjusters.
