W. S. George Fine China

"Gone With The Wind" Ceramic Collector's Plates

Featuring famous scenes with beloved characters Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler, and Ashley Wilkes

You get 6 beautiful 'GWTW' decorative plates for one low price; 5 are from 1988's 50 Years "Golden Anniversary" series (with art by Howard Rogers) and 1 is from 1991's "Critic's Choice" series (with art by Paul Jennis)

You'll Get (as shown above from left to right):

1) "The Proposal" - 4th in the Golden Anniversary series

2) "Scarlett's Resolve" - 8th in the Golden Anniversary series

3) "Scarlett and Ashley After the War" - 3rd in the Golden Ann. series

4) "Strolling In Atlanta" - 6th in the Golden Anniversary series

5) "Scarlett and Her Suitors" - 1st in the Golden Anniversary series

6) "Marry Me, Scarlett!" - 1st in the Critic's Choice series

Each plate measures roughly 8 1/2" in diameter

The plates are generally very near mint / nearly new condition.  A couple of them have a light yellowish spot on their backs due to age, but this in no way affects the presentation on the fronts.  The three plates worth noting any flaws are as follows: #3 (Ashley & Scarlett) has a tiny white spot at the upper left edge (it's NOT a chip, though), #6 (Scarlett, Rhett, and baby) has a teeny tiny chip to the gold rim at the upper right, and #8 (Scarlett in red dress) has a slight bit of edge rubbing from a plate hanger.  None of these flaws are glaring issues at all, as they are all very small and really only noticed under scrutiny (they're very hard to see with the naked eye, actually, unless your eyesight is spectacular - so everything really looks beautiful overall).

Please see the pics above to better appreciate this great lot.  Both sides of each plate are pictured, with a couple of the plates shown more than once due to difficult angles affected by the camera's flash.  These plates are sold as seen above, as no paperwork is included.  The original retail price of these plates varied from $25 to $30 each, since they continued to increase the price as the series progressed.  Doing the research, I found that the grand total of all six plates offered here was $165 (pre-tax) when new.  I'm only asking $54.99 for them today, so here's your chance to get a really nice bargain!  These come from a climate-controlled, pet and smoke-free home.
