DIGITAL COMIC BOOK - Captain Havoc and the Phanthom Knight.

Edition: #04. Year of issue: 1947.

Format: portrait. Number of pages: 28.

The comic series from Australia, operational around 1947 to 1949, has an uncertain total issue count. The creative team behind this series includes artists Matt Baker, Don Ryan, and C M Tighe, with Noel P Bookes and John Libris contributing as writers. While there is debate about whether it is an Australian or New Zealand comic, given the presence of Meteor Publications' logo - an Australian company - on most covers, and the Australian nationality of at least two contributors, Don Ryan and Cyril M Tighe, it's largely considered Australian.

The narrative follows Professor Edward Melville and Captain Anthony Havoc as they construct a spacecraft for cosmic exploration. Along with the professor's assistant, Gloria Starr, they venture to the planet Karen, where they aid the local populace in combating foes from Arkturia, under the rule of Tortura, in the series' first three issues. During their adventures, they ally with Prince Kureston of Karen, whom Gloria nicknames the Phantom Knight due to his invisibility power. Boasting abilities like teleportation and flight, and donning a cape, Prince Kureston fits the superhero archetype.
