Vintage children's dressing-up top - suitable for display purposes only.  Made around 1960 - late 1950s or early 1960s.  Presumably made as part of a home-made cowboy (or cowgirl) style "Wild West" outfit, and fringed.  It looks as if it has been cobbled together for a fancy dress party or stage costume, out of old clothes.  It consists of a child's plaid/check long-sleeved shirt, which has been cut right down the middle, and the buttons have been replaced by a single stud fastening at the neck. Then it has been embellished with a red linen collar, fringed black velvet waistcoat fronts, and red fringed velvet cuffs.
The result is a spectacular top for a cowgirl or cowboy outfit, which can be changed quickly and easily.(Anyone who has organised costume changes at a school play or panto, will appreciate the advantages of this!)

Please note: this clothing does NOT meet modern safety standards, and is not suitable for children to wear, because of the fringe (choking hazard).
It is being sold PURELY for nostalgic/display purposes, such as dressing a display dummy or doll or teddy bear.
