The BrOK® coaxial overvoltage protectors, type PKOpt-N-lambda-2,4G-BCD/F-F, consist of T-connectors and a high-efficiency lambda/4 type overvoltage protector tuned to the centre of oscillation. 2.4 GHz band. 

This version is specially tuned for lowest attenuation 0.3db (CHINA 0.5-1db!!!). Made in EU/Czech Republic.


They are designed to protect 50 Ω coaxial cables leading from outdoor environments protected against direct lightning strikes (LPZ 0B) and the coaxial inputs of instruments and equipment connected to these cables against the effects of electromagnetic industrial interference, overvoltage and atmospheric discharges. The protection perfectly protects the connected devices and equipment even in the event of a direct lightning strike on the cable as defined in IEC 61312-1 (shock wave test with an amplitude of 2.5 kA and a duration of 10/350 µs). As can be seen from the oscillogram, the maximum value of the residual overvoltage behind the protection is in the range of several volts! A prerequisite for the correct operation of any surge protector is its thorough connection to the equipotential busbar of the protected system (usually to the PE or PEN protective terminal) with the shortest possible Cu conductor with a minimum cross section of 2.5 mm2 . The correct connection method is described at www.prepeti.cz in the chapter "Installation conditions". The surge protector is connected to the protected cable via a tapping connector T to the middle pin of which a tuned resonator type lambda/4 is connected. This allows the installation of BrOK® coaxial surge protectors even in plastic cabinets.
