Description

Pee Wee Reese, a star shortstop, played his entire career with the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1940 to 1958. The 10-time All-Star is also a 2-time World Series champion. Reese is also known for his support of his teammate Jackie Robinson, the first African-American player in Major League Baseball. The Los Angeles Dodgers retired his jersey #1, and he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Reese passed away in 1999 at the age of 81.
