An interesting offering consisting of a stitched leather covered chain link and key lock assembly.

LACKS KEY.  APPROX. 27" OVER-ALL LENGTH INCLUDING LOCK.

We did an extensive search and could not find any examples of this unusual automobile spare tire locks.  None were a simple chain assembly.  All were lockable arms or mounts and an assortment of systems - but simple chain covers as this one embodies,   

THIS COULD ALSO HAVE BEEN USED WITH MOTORCYCLES.
 

Wear and minor surface rust, dirt, scratches consistent with age and use.   Leather w/ cloth backing worn and tattered in some spots.  Leather both dry and also pliable in some spots.  Please see all photos for the wear and condition as they are part of the description.
