Antique 'Lincoln Imp' Silver Tea Spoons circa 1890 

Superb set of Tea Spoons with finials in the form of the Lincoln Imp. The Lincoln Imp is a celebrated Boss End (gargoyle) in the ceiling of Lincoln Cathedral which has become the de facto insignia of Lincoln . 

The Cathedral is one of the great medieval wonders of Britain and was for many centuries the tallest building in the world. 

The spoons are plated but show no signs of wear and I suspect have never been used. 

Destined for use by some modern day Lincolnshire Imps !!!!!
