Anne Sawan is a children's author and child psychologist. In 2014 she won the International Book Contest by Inclusive Works and Clavis Publishing for her picture book What Can Your Grandma Do? During a stroll through the book store, Anne noticed that all books about grandparents tend to show them doing things such as playing bridge or knitting. And yet there are so many active grandparents! To Anne, family is very important. She's happily married with her best friend, and mother of five active and sometimes aggravating children. Besides them, she also loves to eat, run, write and read.
"This is adorable! Max gets a box of delicious-looking chocolates for his mom for Valentine's Day. Maybe he'll just sample one... This is such a cute, fun tale. It's full of sweetness and humor and kids will laugh along with the story. The illustrations are soft and expressive. They enhance the text nicely! This would be a fun circle time read in the lead-up to Valentine's Day and would be a great addition to pre-K and early elementary school and classroom libraries." - BookWorks
"A very sweet holiday children's story. It shows the loving bonds between parents and their children and teaches children about love and kind gestures. A perfect book for not only valentine's day but all year round. " - Half Price Books
"I loved the interaction between Max and his dad regarding the box of chocolates, the ending of their interaction made me chuckle. This book is short and sweet, and it has wonderful illustrations. A fun book for Valentine's day." - Indigo Books and Music
