Cecil Aldin, successful in his own time as an illustrator of books and magazines, a painter, and a writer, was born in
Aldin, whose art has become increasingly popular over the years, is especially appreciated today for his special talent drawing dogs. Aldin, like Lucy Dawson, was able to capture the true character of the many dogs and breeds he studied. Aldin's talents, greatly appreciated by his contemporaries, resulted in a wide array of collectibles available today that bear his famous dog images.
