The box was made in Italy and the movement is made in Switzerland. This wooden mahogany music box has Capodimonte panels on all sides (except bottom) and has a removable top tray for jewelry that when removed exposes the movement. The movement is a 72 note 3 tune reel that plays Gavotte - Louis XIII, Minuet (Don Juan) - Mozart and The Magic Flute - Mozart. the music stops playing when the lid is closed. It plays as it should and was well cared for. The ring holder in the tray is somewhat misshapen. I did not clean or dust this. Is 10.5 inches x 6.5 inches x 5.5 inches. Double Boxed for safety.
