We offer a range of herb seeds for you to easily grow at home. Each variety has been specially selected as the most popular and easiest to grow, so you can spend less time researching and more time gardening. Every pack comes with simple sowing instructions to get you started. 

Choose from the following seed varieties:

Basil (Sweet Genovese) - 250 seeds
A distinct and flavoursome herb used in all kinds of Italian cooking, basil is a wonderful addition to any herb garden or kitchen windowsill. A quick growing plant, it’s ideal for picking fresh leaves to top off your pizza or pasta. Sow indoors all year round.

Chive - 250 seeds
This perennial herb will keep coming back year after year and requires very little care once established, giving you a great return on your time raising them from seed. Both the leaves and the beautiful purple flowers are edible - simply cut a few away from the plant when needed for a nice mild onion flavour. Sow indoors all year round.

Coriander (Plain Leaf) - 100 seeds
A fresh, leafy herb with a distinct look and flavour, coriander is an essential ingredient in lots of curries and Mexican dishes. The frilly-edged leaves make this an attractive plant to grow on your kitchen windowsill, ready for picking for a fresh garnish. Sow indoors all year round.

Cress - 2g seeds
Perhaps the best-known microgreen, cress is one of the easiest and quickest plants you can grow, making it especially good for growing with children. Cress can be grown on any sunny windowsill, and as long as it is kept moist you can be harvesting in just 2 weeks! Sow indoors all year round.

Dill - 100 seeds
With its unique appearance and taste, dill is an easily recognisable herb. Its feathery leaves are often used to flavour fish, soups, stews, and pickles. It has a fresh scent and is part of the celery family. Sow indoors all year round.

Lettuce (Mixed Leaf) - 500 seeds
This mixed pack of lettuce gives you a wonderful mix of textures and flavours for a varied homegrown salad. Contains cos, loose leaf, butterhead, and crisp varieties pre-mixed in one packet. Sow February - September.

Oregano (Greek) - 200 seeds
A herb with a strong, aromatic scent, oregano is often used in Mediterranean cooking. It can be used fresh or the leaves can be dried and stored. Sow indoors all year round.

Parsley (Flat Leaved) - 200 seeds
Parsley is a tasty kitchen herb, perfect for adding a fresh garnish to dishes. The flat leaf variety is easier to prepare and with a better, stronger flavour than curly leaf parsley. Sow indoors all year round.

Rocket (Salad) - 500 seeds
A 'cut and come again' salad crop with a light, peppery flavour, rocket is an ideal plant to have on hand. Perfect for adding to sandwiches or putting together a quick side salad, straight from the garden. Sow outdoors March - September.

Sage - 50 seeds
Sage is an easily recognisable herb, with its soft blue-green leaves and aromatic flavour. The rich taste makes this a vital ingredient in the classic sage and onion stuffing. If you enjoy a Sunday roast, you have to try growing this herb. Sow indoors February - May.

Spearmint - 200 seeds
A vibrant and refreshing mint herb perfect for a variety of culinary uses, spearmint is an excellent addition to any herb garden or kitchen windowsill. Ideal for harvesting fresh leaves to add a burst of flavour to teas, salads, and cocktails (mojitos). Sow indoors.

Tarragon (Russian) - 100 seeds
A hardier and more vigorous plant than French tarragon, Russian tarragon produces attractive, aromatic foliage. Sow indoors March - May.

Thyme - 150 seeds
A flavoursome herb often used in cooking stews and roasts where it adds a robust flavour. A woody, evergreen herb, the leaves can be dried and stored ready for quickly adding to any dish. Sow indoors February - May. 


Simple Sowing Instructions:
More detailed instructions are available on each seed packet.

Basil, Chives, Coriander, Dill, Oregano, Parsley, Spearmint:
1. Sow indoors all year round.
2. Sow outdoors from March (Chives, Coriander, Dill, Parsley) or May (Basil, Oregano).
3. Sow seed thinly in compost then cover lightly and water in. Thin outdoor seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart. 

Sage, Tarragon, Thyme:
1. Sow indoors February - May.
2. Sow thinly in pots or trays on the surface of moist seed compost, do not cover. Place somewhere light and warm and keep moist. 

Cress:
1. Sow indoors all year round.
2. Sow thinly in a tray of moist compost or kitchen paper, do not cover. Place on a sunny windowsill and keep moist.

Lettuce:
1. Sow outdoors March - July.
2. Sow thinly 1cm (1/2in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart.
3. Cover with soil, firm gently and keep moist.
4. Thin seedlings as required.
