RARE COLD WAR British Army Map from "EXERCISE SURPRISE PACKET" (1951)

The huge set piece military exercise was the biggest to take place on British soil and it covered an extensive area of the South of England, simulating the response to a full scale invasion. The exercise was so large that it required the special 'one-off' reprinting of a small number of different War Office sheets to mark the external boundaries of the operation. This sheet is a reprinting of Sheet 167 entitled "SALISBURY PLAIN".

It's in very good overall condition for its age and service use, with a very small edge tear above the title.

At the time of listing, I have a small number of other Cold War military maps, including some of the other sheets from this exercise.
