Description

We are pleased to be offering today this unusual period four drawer Sheraton style bonnet chest dating from the 1870's. These are common in New England, but not in the rest of the country. They call this a bonnet chest as the top drawer is deeper to allow for bonnet storage being 10 inches high. The other drawers are 9.5 inches, 5 inches and 8 inches respectively. It has period hardware, that is a lion face with a ring going through its mouth. It has carved pillars going down both sides terminating in a Sheraton foot. It has solid plank sides that are not cracked! It has hand cut dove tail and scribed drawer faces. The overall size is 42 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 47 inches high. It is a good period chest at a reasonable price. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
