2 Hardware Store Vintage Drawer Boxes Oak, pine & galvanized steel 7 1/2" W

Nice oak drawer fronts. The back is pine. Sides and bottoms are galvanized steel. With an insert slot for quickly identifying the contents

These boxes were once used for stocking items. They're from a hardware store in Easthampton MA. Probably early to mid 20th century. There's a painted yellow square that was then stamped for listing inventory.

Apparently these particular drawers were used for holding and selling bulk seed for gardening / farming / agriculture.

The insert card on one of the drawers says, "Carrot / Long Orange" - penciled on the side it says "Golden Hubbard". Priced from 15 cents for 1/2 oz. to $.70 for 1/4 lb.

The yellow on the other drawer is illegible.

These were stacked on shelves and were not fit into cabinets with drawers. There is a stamp inked on the inside of the pine backs. I can't quite read them. Possibly the name of the drawer maker.

Would make nice staging shelves for your collectibles.

The metal on the sides are a slightly bent. One handle is bent upward.

Dimensions 7 1/2" Width X 6" Height X 12" Deep (plus the handles)
