This variety of handmade German antique marble dates from between 1880 to 1920. They were not made in India but in the traditional glass factories of Germany.
Indians can have a delicate clear, tinted or coloured base glass, although some have an opaque 'maglite' appearance that only admits light from a powerful backlit source.The exterior design employs an attractive texture from the application of ground coloured glass lines to the surface: the hallmark of such marbles. With their sophisticated style and a range of colours from subtle to dashing, Indian marbles are sought after for their character.
Size: 15.3 mm or .60'' or 19/32'' inch.
Condition: Near mint, with a chip and some surface wear.
