Script by Stan Lee, art by Steve Ditko; Dr. Octopus organizes the Sinister Six, composed of other Spider-Man Villains; They capture Betty Brant and Aunt May and force Spider-Man to rescue them. Cameos by the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Iron Man, Giant Man, and the Wasp. Lots of back-up features (all art by Ditko): 14 pages of pin-ups (Spider-Man's most famous foes); 9-page "The Secrets of Spider-Man"; 3-page "How Stan Lee and Steve Ditko Create Spider-Man!"; and other miscellaneous pin-ups.
