Nepalese Jew's Harp in Raw Iron - Murchunga - Jew's Harp (jew's harp)

The craftsmen who make these instruments do not claim that they are suitable for professional use. Although the Nepalese Jew's Harp is not designed for professional use, it can provide a unique and fun musical experience.

As an idiophone instrument, it produces sound by vibrating through the thin membrane attached to the frame.

The musician simply uses their finger to stimulate this vibration, creating the unique sound of the Jew's Harp. Although not designed for professional use, it can be a great choice for music lovers who want to explore new sounds with their friends!

It's craftsmanship and it remains craftsmanship, a festive instrument in a way...

But what are we having fun all the same!!!

The jew's harp is an idiophone musical instrument, that is to say an instrument whose material itself produces the sound during an impact, either by an external instrument (such as a drumstick), or by another part of the instrument itself.

In the case of the jew's harp, it is the player's finger that produces the impact.
The jew's harp is made up of two elements. We first distinguish an armature (frame), of any shape which invariably ends in two parallel bars (arms) fairly close together.

Finally, there is a thin membrane (tongue), a few millimeters high, fixed to the frame by one of its ends, free on the other side and which passes between the two bars of the frame.
