This sword was made for the Sengoku period (period of warring states)

・Made this sword around Late Muromachi period  (around  1500s ).  

・NBTHK  (日本美術刀剣保存協会  The Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai)

described this seems to be made by 氏信 Ujinobu.

・氏信 Ujinobu , living in 美濃国 Mino-no-koku (Now, 岐阜県 Gifu Prefecture).

氏信 Ujinobu is a leading swordsmith in 岩捲 派 the Ganmaku -Group.

岩捲 Ganmaku's swords are famous for their extremely good cutting ability.

This sword was made for the Sengoku period (period of warring states).

 ・The category of this sword is 末古刀 Sue Koto (Late Old Swords).

・The Hamon (temper line) is 互の目乱れ Gonome-midare.

<If the items are lost /broken>

·         If you don’t receive the item…At first, please check your status of your delivery with your tracking number and contact with your Post office.  The post office might keep your item, if you are not home at the time of delivery.

Please understand that delay, return, damage or loss due to the handling by Custom or/and Post Office are not under our control.  If the items are lost/ broken, EMS by Japan Post will pay you the amount of the money that declared as compensation for your damage.  In that case, please contact us immediately. 

<Insurance>

• Insurance is included up to 20,000 yen (about USD240.00) per parcel. The amount of insurance is based on the declared value on the EMS package.
• It is an optional, but we highly recommend that you add insurance if the value of the items are over 20,000 yen (about USD240.00).

<Payment>

• We only accept “Paypal”.
• Payment is due within 72 hours of the close of the auction. If payment is not received within 5 days without contacting us, we will relist the items.

<Return and refunds policy>

• All sales are final.
• Please check the item as soon as you receive it and immediately inform us of any problems.  We only accept return, if the item has been misrepresented. In that case, please contact us within 3days. The item must be return in the same condition in which it was sent. When we receive the item back, we will refund the amount of the item, excluding shipping, handling, eBay fees, and insurance.

<The Procedure of sending Japanese swords abroad-It takes additional time!>

·         All our swords with hand forged blade are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.

·         After receiving the full payment of the items, we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan.   It will take about 14-17 business days to do this procedure.  

·         After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.

Important Notice:

·         We are not responsible for the problem of custom or post office.  As some countries are not allowed to import swords, because they might be considered swords as weapons.  Please confirm whether your country can import Japanese antique swords and antique goods before bidding/ buying.  We cannot refund the money due to this problem. 

·         Again, import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

·         We are not responsible how you handle the swords.  Needless to say, the sword has the blade and it is not safe if you don’t know how to handle, especially, if this is the first for you to have the sword.  We highly recommend checking how to take care of the swords before receiving the item.
