SCARCE Commemorative Watch Fob Medal, 1939, Stratford, Connecticut Tercentenary

DESCRIPTION: Nice original bronze watch fob commemorating the 300th anniversary of the town of Stratford, Connecticut. Very nicely, sharply struck. Shows a nice view of the town hall, with "Town Hall, built 1936" on the obverse. Also, in large letters around the outside, "Town of Stratford, Connecticut Tercentenary, 1639 - 1939". On the reverse is manufacturer's stamp,"Greenhugh Company, Chicago".

Almost 1 1/2" diameter, issued at Stratford, Ct. in 1939. Quite an early town in southern Connecticut, settled just 19 years after the arrival of the Pilgrims.

Mint condition.
