Welcome to my Sale

Purchased new by the first lady owner, from the supplying Fiat and Abarth dealer, Thomas Motor Group in Slough. She drove the car very infrequently during her ownership. So much so that the car was stored in the garage, mostly unused. Finally making the decision to sell, her friend jumped at the chance to purchase the car as she loved the 124 model. She became the new owner on the 23^rd of June 2021 with a speedometer reading of just 919 miles. She continued to own the car until April this year when I finally took ownership with just 7605 miles on the milometer.

My Fiat 124 Roadster was serviced on the 17^th of July 2018 by the Fiat main agent, Stoneacre Fiat of Lincoln with a milometer reading of just 814 miles. Stoneacre Fiat also service the car again on the 3^rd of February 2023. The milometer reading was 7553 miles. Since purchasing the car, I have treated the convertible roof which is water tight. And more importantly, I have replaced the timing belt, water pump, anti-freeze and the often-overlooked multi-air filter. The work was completed by McLennan Garage of Loanhead, with a milometer reading of 8772 miles. They are a Fiat and Alfa Romeo specialist workshop.

Additionally, I have just had a new service and MOT completed at 12861 miles. This was all done on the 28^th of March this year. No advisories were recorded on the new MOT certificate.  

I completely adore this Fiat 124 Spider. It was a very special treat to myself as I have wanted one since Fiat introduced it back in 2016. A purchase of the heart.

Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. This Fiat Anniversary model was designed to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the unveiling of the original roadster in Turin, 1966. My Fiat 124 Spider will be supplied with two remote key fobs (Both in working order). Fiat wallet containing owner’s manual and infotainment Instructions. Service history book, I also have the original bill of sale.

On the Road: The car starts on the first press of the starter button. As soon as you drive off you will realise what a special car this is. The gears change easily with a weighted feel. The engine runs smooth and is remarkably quiet. There is a pleasing exhaust note when you push her on with the roof down. And a good turn of power having 140bhp. The steering is tight and positive and the suspension and ride quality is exceptional. The Two-ply convertible roof lining keeps the interior cabin quiet. The brake pads and discs are all in excellent order and work perfectly. All the electrics are in excellent working order. My spider drives as the factory intended. There are no faults at all.

The Boot Compartment: Like brand new. The interior carpet is perfect. There is a repair kit included. The boot compartment is illuminated.

The Engine Compartment: The engine and surrounding panels are completely free from oil and dirt. The engine compartment is stunning. Please see my pictures. The engine is in perfect working order and has no faults.

The Interior: The leather seat trim and leather door trims are all perfect. There is no sign of wear at all. Even the seat bolsters are perfect. The dash, door materials and trims are all in perfect condition. The floor carpets are also in perfect condition with no wear. The carpet pile is deep and soft. There is a set of optional branded carpet over mats still in the car. I cannot stress how nice the interior is. It is as new.

Wheels and Tyres: All four alloy wheel rims are in excellent condition and still retain the factory finish. There is a tiny kerb mark on one wheel only. It just happened recently and is very small. The others are perfect. All tyres are in excellent condition and have good tread depth. All four tyres are matching, quality branded Bridgestone.

Bodywork and General Condition: The bodywork is stunning. There are a couple of very small blemishes as you would expect from a car that has been driven. You will probably need me to point them out however. All the body panel gaps are exact and the panels have a glass like finish. The paintwork has a showroom shine. The underside and components are exceptionally clean and rock solid. All the sill plates are unmarked and the door checks are immaculate and clean. The whole exterior is stunning.

The Convertible Roof: The black cloth roof material is in perfect condition. The glass heated rear window is also unmarked and works perfectly. The roof has two layers of soundproofing, insulating the occupants from outside noises. Remarkably quiet, even at motorway speeds. The roof is in perfect working order and is simple to operate. It takes less than 10 seconds to open or close the convertible top. A new waterproofing treatment has recently been completed.

A recent timing belt, new service and MOT with no advisories noted. The new owner will have nothing to do but drive her away.
