This is a lovely card depicting Autumn as a goddess, that was put into photo albums in the 1800s as filler because most families Even with money didn’t have a lot of photos but wanted an album for what they did have. So these cards were put in as filler until the album filled up.

It is marked “Entered, according to Act of Congress, in the year 1863, by John P Soule, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court for the District of Massachusetts. AUTUMN. GG Fish, Pinxt, Photo. And Pub by JP Soule, Boston.”
