Erector Special Edition kit #0509 in metal carrying case; makes 3 Buildings

This great kit builds 3 different models:  The London Bridge, England; Eiffel Tower, Paris, France; the Empire State Building, New York City, USA.

The kit has been opened and parts sorted into a large tool box, many years ago!  I resorted all the parts by size, and came up with just a few items that are missing (all have been replaced except for 1),and many extra parts.

 Missing Parts:

·    1, 1 1/8 inch screw (part A 611);replaced

·    5, plastic thick black washers(part A238); replaced

·    1, flat metal strip with curved edges, and 5 round holes (part A105)

Description of missing and replacement parts:

The missing metal strip only affects the building of the London Bridge – perhaps another part which is longer (included in the kit) would suffice?  I didn’t get a replacement for this missing piece.

The missing black washers/short black “tubes” and screw are from the Empire State Building.  I have replaced the missing screw with a similar screw (brass along with a nut – you’ll need either a flat-hear or Philips screw driver and a pair of pliers).  I have also replaced the black washers/short tubes with something similar (replaced with 12 black ones, cut to be the same length; they are used as spacers, and don’t have to fit tightly).  (See picture.)

There are slight imperfections in the plating on the “silver” parts.  (You can possibly see it in the attached picture; it’s very difficult to see, except that it doesn’t all look perfectly “silver” in color.)  This in no way effects the sturdiness of the metal.  Possibly this is how the metal pieces look in all Erector sets – some that are not all perfectly smooth and polished-looking?

There is a small dent in the approximate center of the top of the box.  Perhaps you can gently pound it out?  I didn’t want to try, in case I made it worse.  (My main picture shows this side of the box.)
