c 1885 Allerton 'STAG' Child's Miniature TRIO Staffordshire Transferware

This is a child’s miniature TRIO consisting of a Cup, Saucer, and Plate in brown transfer made by Charles Allerton & Sons, Park Works, Longton, England c 1885, in the pattern name ‘STAG’.  Made during the Aesthetic Movement the design and motifs surrounding the stag reflect this period.  This Trio would have been part of a complete tea set made for a child.

Dimensions:

Plate:  5.5” D Round

Cup:  2" H

Saucer:  4.5" Diameter

Please ignore the white glare marks in the photos.  This child’s antique Trio has some light toning to the plate and interior of the cup, but overall is in excellent condition.  There may be transfer skips and smudges, minor crazing, firing and stilt imperfections that may appear sporadically, typical of pieces manufactured at this period of time, but nothing that diminishes the display value; this is a very popular pattern made by a well-known pottery.  Presented here as found and as is.
