For sale is Grand Seiko SBGF001 with HAQ 8J movement. Watch only, no box nor documentation. The watch is not moving. I bought it with an intention to learn quartz movement and try to fix it. However, life gets too busy, and I haven’t been able to find time to finish the project. I am sure that a trip to Grand Seiko SPA Service will make everything right. Previous owner acquired a working Seiko Credor 8J movement but was unable to put everything back. A box of 8J Seiko Credor movement will be included, so you have working parts to replace. I am no watchmaker and have very minimal knowledge on internal mechanism. Here is the list I know:

Scratches on the metal parts of the watch, as you expect on a used watch.
Glass is perfect to my eyes.
This GS can fit a wrist of 17.3 mm maximum.
One of the spring bars at the lug is stuck, but I expect it is an easy fix for someone with experience.
The watch remains stopped after replacing a new battery.
It has a screw down crown.
After pulling the crown to the first click (to set date), hour and minute hand are moving but touching each other at some points. Normally, only the hour hand will move to quick set the hour for this particular 8J movement.
Date wheel will advance at the first click.
Hour and minute hand will move freely after pulling the crown to the second click (time adjustment position).

Watch is sold as-is. No return.
