Simply beautiful vintage (late 1960's) pair of curtains produced by Osman Furnishings and designed by the famous "Pat Albeck" (Her son Matthew Rice was married to Emma Bridgewater).  I have another pair exactly the same but smaller (65.5"D x 46.5"W) being sold separately, just ask.

Thick heavy matte cotton ground with the well recognised printed pattern of "Italian Garden".....colourful and busy and so detailed....very appealing on the eye and being such warm colours, will brighten any room! The selvedge is fully written up with Pat Albeck's name and Osman Furnishings and this is an original fabric from that period and not a modern repro.

Pat Albeck started her career in the 1950's when she began designing for Horrockses and then worked for many companies including Sandersons and Osman.  She was commissioned to design a range of bedroom fabrics for Osman Textiles and she went to Uffizi Florence, Italy for the inspiration and particularly Botticelli's paintings of which "Italian Garden" was designed from the background florals.  See photos of her history and also this pattern provided just for your reference.

Pencil pleats and the strings have been gathered and I have unknotted and let out but not cut short, so can be adjusted to suit.  Fully lined in a thick beige cotton.  One vertical seam per curtain with pattern match, so extra wide at 2 widths) . Lots of pics all will enlarge and just ask if questions.

Each curtain measures 64.5" drop x 92" wide top and bottom (2 widths wide so extra wide) and the pair weigh around 3kg approx unpacked.

In excellent condition and clean and will not need cleaning.  No fading so colours are bright and vibrant.  Linings have very minor sun streaking. No tiebacks included.
