Just beautiful and so scarce now, vintage (1977) complete dessert bowl set in fine bone china, by Royal Tuscan, England.

This set was produced in the more Nordic style, which was fashionable in its day and has recently become fashionable again and at this time in 1977,  Wedgwood had taken over both Royal Tuscan and Susie Cooper, and I believe that this pattern has a strong Susie Cooper influence of pattern.

Hand painted and enamelled in the most wonderful patterns of fruits, berries and nuts....each bowl having a different pattern...walnuts, grapes, cob nuts, almonds, brazils, redcurrants, blackcurrants, strawberries and flowers, blackberries ripe and unripe and flowers and cherries....the main large serving bowl has gooseberries, blackberries, ruby gooseberries, cherries, blackcurrants and strawberries. Pale green block stippled effect to outside of bowls and all fully glazed inside and out. Lots of photos provided, all will enlarge for closer inspection, just ask if any questions.

Set comprises 1 large serving bowl (7.5cm high x 21cm top rim diameter ~ nice and open and wide) and 6 individual bowls ( 3.5cm high x 14.5cm top rim diameter ~ again, nice open and wide). All the bowls are dated 1977 and signed by I assume the artist initials K.R....with a separate B, and only one of the bowls carries the Royal Tuscan backstamp (I can only assume that they decided not to run with this pattern for whatever reason, as it is so scarce, that I cannot find another one anywhere)

In really lovely condition with nice strong bold colours and no chips nibbles or hairline cracks.  All bowls ring except one which sounds like a thud, due to a small amount of minute glaze crazing which honestly does not notice and has not discoloured and does not affect the use. Due to the handmade nature some have tiny speckles within the glaze, which is a normal part of the manufacture and also some very light cutlery marks which only notice in the light....I like to point out what I see and honestly this is a fabulous rare set and totally useable. I would hand wash.
