Cyril P Kimberley took over the position of "Chief Designer" at Webbs, after the death of George Pope in 1960 and was active within the company from 1930-1978. He was responsible for the engraving on the "Mayflower" glass and also the "Investiture glass" and was held in such high esteem that he features on the first page of Hajdamach book - chapter: copper wheel engraving. He would have been taught by others, who were rubbing shoulders with the likes of William Fritsche and Frederick Kny
