Vintage between 1960-70's Gladstone Pottery Museum, Longton, Stoke on Trent decorated dinner plates and as the pottery is closed they have now become rare and collectible!.

From what I understand, the museum was formed in 1974 to preserve the history, however the pottery was closed about 10 years before, I can only assume that these were some of the leftovers when it closed.  They are studio produced and some still have stilt marks on the back and all are signed.

Beautifully hand painted and enamelled in the form of flowers and very much in the style of "Art Deco" and signed by the artist H.M. Woodward.

4 are flat plain edged and 2 have a slight fluted/ripple edge and all roughly the same size at 27cm....dinner plate size.

Overall, they are in very good condition with no glaze crazing or discolouration, but one of the fluted edged on the reverse, has a glaze bubble see photo, the other fluted edge has a small chip on the reverse, so it doesnt show on the face see photo and one of the plain edged has minute chips on the underside which has been glazed over so it was at the time of manufacture and you wont even see these.
