Master sculptress Silvia Klöde designed this set of figures for the German factory in 1993. She was one of the chief developers at Meissen, being the only woman to work in the new development studio. Having studied sculpture at the academy of Arts in Dresden she worked at the Meissen factory for 38 years.
Sea Creatures is a set of 5 figures, all individually hand sculpted and hand painted.
The largest figure, with trident, is 11cm tall.
Each piece is marked with the blue underglaze crossed swords on base and all correct Incised model numbers.
First quality.
Condition : Superb – 4 as new – 1 mermaid has a couple of damaged leaves.
